RAN AWAY from the Sub scriber, about the Stli inst. ne gro man HARRY Harry is a bright mulatto, (half while,) with larjre freckles, between thirty and thirty-five years of age, near six feet high, and weighs about one hun dred and seventy pounds; he is a good ditcher and well acquainted with all kinds of work usually done on a farm; he is a very intelligent ingenious fellow, well calculated to pass himself for a frer: man, which no doubt he will attempt to do; he is well known in this county, particularly in this and the neighbor hood of the late Lemmon Ruffin, Esq. where he has a wife. Packing Screws, Of the usual size, and larger than any now in use in the State, and no doubt superior they will be made in an en gine erected for that purpose, which can not fail to cut the screws more accurate ly than those which are made by hand or other ordinary means the thread will be a square or v, or any other to please the purchaser. Horse Mills, Will be built at a short notice, on the improved perpendicular plan, or any other desired by the purchaser the per pendicular Mill may, by removing the Gin, occupy the same place and be pro pelled by the same geer. Chain Bands and Wheels, Of a superior quality, will be furnished those who desire them, which are ex tremely well calculated for the "propel ling of both Gins and Mills. Tarboro', May 10,1S30. 37 Stfjocco Springs, Warren County, '.jV: i aroinia. i the 1st day of June next, the Hou- ses at SHOCCO SPRINGS, nine miles south of Warrenton, and sixteen miles north of Lewisburg, will be open ed for the reception of visitors. The . great advantages of this Watering Place in many cases of Dyspepsia, other dis eases and debility, having been tested by those who have attended them, to such, it is only necessary to say, that all the Buildings are in excellent repair and condition. The accommodation, in ev ery respect, shall be such as my best efforts can effect, for comfort and conve nience to all who may visit the place. To those who have not visited Shucco, it may be necessary to say, that the buildings arc sufficiently numerous and conveniently arranged for the accommo dation of a large assemblage. The pri vate apartments will afford ample re tirement to those who prefer it, and the public Halls are abundantly spacious to receive all who may desire company, and where music and d.mcincrcan be en joyed by such as delight in it. An arrangement will be made to have Divine Worship performed at the Springs on the Sabbath day, where such visitors as may choose, can attend I preaching without inconvenience. I In addition to the valuable Medical 'qualities of the Shocco waters, they are located in a most healthy part of the country, surrounded by a polished soci ety, where the invalid can be restored to health, in an agreeable circle. The best of servants have been pro vided; the Bar will be found to contain the choicest liquors, and no pains will be spared to render the time of visitors perfectly comfortable. My terms for Board, &c. will be Si per day for each grown person Chil dren and Servants half price. For Hor ses $15 per month, or 60 cents per day. ANN JOHNSON NOTICE. There will be a BALL and PARTY furnished at Shocco Springs, on the evenings of the Clh and 7th July. The Music provided for the occasion will not be inferior, if not superior, to any that was ever heard in North-Carolina. The Subscriber contemplates re moving to the West, and will dispose of the above land on favorable terms, for cash or good notes.
